  1. Mishun fought it the best he could, but eventually he succumbed, and passed out unconscious... The last words he whispered before doing so was... "Next time, I owe you come next time..." With a smile on his lips, he said this, obviously dreaming of there next spar to be, which would likely be even more epic than this one. Which as anyone to have seen it would admit, was pretty epic... Though most of the witnesses to this spar, the trees, had not fared so well... The body count for them alone was uncountable... Most were left as literal splinters, with no discernible way to set them apart and say which was which. When Mishun next woke, he was lying in a bed, wrapped in bandages, with a warm blanket over him, a arm set as it had in fact been broken... And quite a story to tell, when he was well enough to use his mouth. -EXIT-
  2. Takarasa nodded, as he told him the side effect of using the orbs. Honestly, he did not see what was the point in telling him this, why tell your foe information for free, but he was store it away for later usefulness, with a grain of salt, since he did not know for sure he was telling the truth. His next question though... Then he supposed he understood why he had done it. He has asked a question, after answering one, and now expected an honest answer from him... How tricky... He supposed he had nothing to lose to telling him it, but it just felt wrong to him. So instead he settled on telling him part of the truth, but not telling him everything. "How is it possible? My brother was a ninja. He died on a mission, and know here he is as a weapon for my use, as we work together. Still fighting to protect me after his death. Still serving our family, as is right. What is confusing, as to how this is possible?" At his next works, a small smile came over Takarasa's lips, that same wrong smile... Fueled by the thought, on his foes words... Won't any longer use lethal techniques? When had he been doing so before? Takarasa had not seen him do anything he would warrant as lethal, even counting whatever that glowy orb thing could do, he doubted it would have been lethal, at least not for Takarasa, or just for Kyou. Not if he had been using it so close to himself, the caster. Anything lethal about it, like some force or explosion, would have caught the caster in it, and taking our Vormav also. So the idea of him doing something lethal before now, seemed a bit odd and funny to Takarasa, in that it seemed a bit suicidal to do so in close range. He himself had a jutsu he could have used long ago, that likely would have killed Vormav in one blow, but had not. It was a spar after all. "As you wish, I suppose I will do likewise. Though perhaps you might like to see some of my other techniques, and give Kyou here a short rest?"
  3. It would soon become apparent to both Axel and Mishun, that the initial boost of speed would not hold. He had taken a good beating in all of the craziness of the fight, even allowing himself to push past his previous limits and open the 4th gate. But his body could only take so much, and it was all adding up to him being done for this spar, which had been more vicious and eventful than most actual fights. Which meant it was more or less on par and normal for a spar involving Mishun. The side effect of his own gate closing, would be much worse than Axel's, in that it would clean knock him out, as the stress of opening a gate for the first time always did. By then he would need to be a place of safety, so he did not burn up while he was unconscious. He was about to slump to the ground, and cross his arms in surrender, to Axel, when he attacked once more. He was not sure what it was, but he rolled out of the way as something shot at him. Luckily he did, or else he would have got blasted to bits by the explosions they caused. Even so, he was knocked from his spot on the ground, and blast through the air by the force of it, landing uncomfortably on a fallen tree chunk. He tried to stand up, but his right knee gave out on him, and he fell back to the ground, just in time to avoid another ball thing from taking off the top of his head. He did his best to turn it into a dive roll, and avoided another few. But even with his increased speed and strength, he was just to beat up and exhausted to do much with it. Which settled it when one of the ball things bounced off the ground, and caught his right shin with a ricoche. If it had been a direct hit, it might have taken his leg off. Even with it being indirect, he was fairly certain the bone in his leg had been broken, or sprained. Which along with his previously injured arm, and multiple abrasions, added up to quite a injury count. He would be needing to see a good med-nin before he went into combat again. Finally the last of the balls went by, and he flopped to the ground on his back, to a jarring pain in his right arm and right leg... Swell... Literally, he was starting to swell. "I think we should stop for know. I don't think I will survive much more friendly sparring. Though it was a good one." As it was, from his spot on the ground lying on his back, he fought to keep his eyes open, and from passing out, which he knew was going to happen all to soon.
  4. Takarasa had been minding his own business, whiling away his time building a fence, when a kunai stabbed into the fence before him. Seeing this, he dived for the ground, pulling down his head to keep it clear as more weapons tore in, trying to hit anything in sight. Slipping into his pack on his back, he pulled out a kunai scroll, unsealing all 5 of them before him, laid out on the ground. For know he also took out the scroll on his left thigh, and unsealed 3 Kamikaze Canary. Small yellow birds, appearing more or less like the creature they were named after. Except with an explosive secret hidden inside. Grabbing one in each hand, he primed them for impact setting, and launched them both at bandits, aiming for a different one with each. Once they glided into something, preferably the bandit he had tossed them at, they would explode with the force of an exploding tag. If they were hit before then by an flying projectile, they would also go off. After tossing them he would duck back down with his kunai, to get behind the small cover the fence provided. In quick order, he used Kugutsu: Pa-mu Tsuki(Puppet Technique: Palm Thrust), to connect to each of the 5 kunai with his left hand with a palm thrust, to control them via M.A.B. He grabbed the third remaining Kamikaze Canary in his free right hand, without arming it. With a swish of the wrist he made the 5 kunai rise off the ground before him defensively, controlled by his left hand and M.A.B., his right hand simply holding the exploding bird. Then he began moving towards the nearest bandit, using his 5 hovering kunai to block incoming projectiles and knock them away. --- OOC: Dives for cover, and unseals 5 kunai, and 3 kamakazi canary. Launched the 2 Kam Can at 2 bandits on impact exploding setting(1 at each), then got back down. Used M.A.B.(Manipulate Advancing Blades) on the 5 kunai, using Kugutsu: Pa-mu Tsuki(Puppet Technique: Palm Thrust) Stood up armed with 5 kunai controlled via M.A.B and his left hand, and a unarmed Kam Can in his right hand, and headed for the nearest bandit.
  5. Mishun would freeze for a moment, as he tried to think through what to do. He had not really expected so many civilians to rally to him. He supposed it did make sense, people assumed ninjas had it together, a assumption he hoped not to prove incorrect. He was saved by Carl, who was still on his shoulder, who gave him a tap on the top of his head, and pointed over at the great tree. "We need to go up Mishun! The Tree! Bring everyone there!" Mishun nodded, and yelled out, with an occasional input from Carl. "All right everyone! Lets go! Head to the big tree! Stay close, don't rush, and help anyone who needs it." He would direct the wounded to find unwounded people to help them, and even grabbed a kid that was injured and carefully pulled him over across his shoulders into a carry, forcing Carl to jump to his head. Then he headed off, checking once more for stragglers, and waving people to follow with his free hand that was not clutching the child. It was not long though before he had to stop, seeing some people struggling in some rubble. He passed off the injured child to another person, and headed in. "Anyone free, come help with this, then we head on together." Then Mishun would carefully delve into the rubble, to use his superior strength to help lift the heavy objects. OOC: Got everyone together and to help the wounded Moved out, and found the people in rubble Went into the rubble to help
  6. I was thinking it would be passive, but since it requires the 1st gate at least to be open at the time, it is going to have a limited time frame. If he does not have any gates open, this would not be active.
  7. As Mishun bailed out from his tree, he was quickly glad he had done so. He was already off of the tree and diving for the area he had bombed, aiming for the cloud of dust which had risen from the blast, hoping to land in that area which offered a small bit of respite. But what should he see behind him, but a blast of light and heat. Blast after blast went off, as it pummeled the tree he had vacated, he could feel its heat on his skin, even from this distance, and was glad he had gotten off when he had. Fiery splinters rained outward from the tree, and a good 4 inch one caught him in the shoulder of his good arm, many more knocking into the back of his vest and bouncing... He felt some going into his right arm also, but all it did was twitch, he could not even get it to move enough to pull them out and had to use his left arm. Definitely broken know if not before. Each one a tiny puncture, which had been scalded shut by its burning, a small mercy that he did not have more bleeding holes in him. He could see burning debris flying every which way, peppering everything in sight, even other trees and the ground like some odd wood/fire jutsu. He could only imagine if he had been caught in that maelstrom of flame and wind and wood. He was almost to the ground, to the glorious ground, when he got caught off guard and smashed in the chest by a full force Tsuuga, the likes of which he doubted Seichi had even seen. He tried to pull up his left arm, the only one still in decent shape, bringing it in front of his chest, swinging the armgaurd to bear to block himself, but it seemed to do little to nothing. While the first blast had knocked the air from his lungs, the second, third, fourth... He lost count after that, after the high speed spinning continued to smash into him with uncounted rotations and strikes. He smashed out once or twice, but this seemed if anything to increase the ferocity of the blows, and do nothing to his foe. He just was not strong enough... he needed to be stronger... First he lost his armguard on his left arm, the surface of it had been cut to bits, and finally it just fell off... His right armgaurd was not cut to bits like this one, instead at some point the leather parts on the underside, the straps holding them to his arm, had been cut, and it just fell off whole. His chest armor took the worst of it. The first strike which had knocked the wind from his lungs, had cracked it down the middle. A piece of chest armor that had stood up to so much before, which was as strong as a few inches of thick iron, had been cracked in half. The following Tsuuga strikes just added to this, and eventually the remnants of it scattered and fell off. He was going to need to replace a lot of equipment quite soon. This all ended, when he finally hit the ground. This entire time he had been making his way there, he had forgotten he was in the air... Each strike had been speeding him up and knocking him closer. Know he had finally hit it, and smashed into the ground at full force, with a blow that lanced through his whole body. He knew his right arm was still there, by the piercing pain that shot up it into his brain as he hit the ground. At least he knew it had not been chopped off at some point. He was in quite a state, all scratched up, laying on the ground, bleeding from so many places it was not even funny, and still he would not give up. It just was not in him. He bashed at the piece of himself that wanted to give in, wanted to quit... Wanted to let up... He pushed past that... Ground it to dust, and pushed onward, and reached for that power he could feel deep down, ripped the gate open and delved inside, forcing himself to open it by some odd mixture of will, pain, and his own inability to stop when he was having this good of a spar. He reeled back with his one good arm, unable to stand even at the moment, cocking it back, arming it with as much strength and kinetic energy as he could muster. Visualizing it going right through his foe like he was a piece of wet paper. Then he drove it forward, a single punch right into him as he screamed out loud his own action, and stated at the top of his lungs what he had just done, like a battlecry. "4th Gate, Shoumon [Wound Gate] OPEN!!!"
  8. Hmmm... I suppose that is one way of stating it, though if anything it is only half that affecting only taijutsu. Though it does not totally stop all of the effects of such jutsu. Instead it lowers it by one tier of effect: blurring, afterimage, invisibility, each to one lower. And it only affects it when this is generated by speed, which would generally be via the gates or taijutsu. Similar effects gained via ninjutsu which do not involve enhancing ones speed, would not be affected by this. So yeah, it simply makes it easier for him to deal with such things and fight back, he still needs to have reflexes, speed, and agility, to be able to deal with them. Hmmm.... Do you think it would still be balanced if I take out the reflexes qualifier in bold? All that would newly encompass would be mental reaction, which from its current wording is excluded. One of the odd things I always wondered was how a person saw themselves, when there speed was so greatly enhanced via the gates or within a taijutsu? Can there own vision keep up? Honestly, I am not sure. Is why I put in the bit about it also affecting ones own, so he can even register and better see his own high speed taijutsu.
  9. For a half a moment, Takarasa was surprised by the hidden blade inside of a blade. Though he supposed to him of all people it should make sense. Weren't most puppets riddled with weapons hidden in weapons? He kept the forward pressure, but did not push harder, as this thought rushed through his head. His foes blade did seem to be longer giving it more reach, though it was also made for slashing. He doubted it would be to good at sticking someone. His own shortsword was smaller, but equally good for slashing and stabbing, which made it more versatile, even with its more compact size. He did find the next bit of information interesting, the bit about him having added back more chakra. Though as he had thought earlier, everything had a cost, he did not doubt that this person was not gaining chakra for "free." Nothing was free, all had a cost. Not to mention the fact that he did not completely believe what he was saying. Ninja's lied, so for all he knew this information was just subterfuge. "Oh sure, free chakra. I am sure that is all there is to it. As I said before... Everything is matched to a cost. So what then were those items cost, in giving you back chakra?" Once more he was trying to make some odd glowy ball in his hand. By know they had landed from there jumps, and were back on the ground. Kyou smiled at Vormav, a odd expression for a puppet to be able to make, but unlike Takarasa's earlier one this smile actually looked quite human and genuine, even on a puppet. Even friendly. Of course this was because his mouth had stayed closed on the expression. Should it have opened, it would have looked a lot less friendly for what it held. As Vormav was busy making some handsigns, Kyou took a step back away from him. He could have tried to interrupt him when he foolishly stopped mid battle to make handsigns a foot from the fight, pressed the attack, but he did not. After all, this was just a spar wasn't it? As Vormav tried to slap the ball of chakra onto his chest, Kyou took a step back, outside of his reach, continuing to grin at him, and shaking his head as if he thought he was being silly, and as if Kyou was being playful. A bit back, Takarasa repeated the movement. "Now now, that is not very nice, trying to stick things to my brother. He is being nice enough not to attack you when you do silly things and leave yourself open, and you try to stick him with a glowy ball thing? Not nice. I assure you, my older brother may be nice, but he is protective. Though I suppose, I am also protective of him. We would both be quite angry if anyone did anything to the other one of us. I suppose it is quite common amongst siblings." As he said this, Kyou would nod, as if in agreement with what Takarasa had said, the grin still on his face. They of course did look quite alike, similar hairstyle and color, facial features... Of course, his older brother had been much larger and more grown up when he had died, and been made into a puppet, so it was only natural for him to be bigger. But he was in fact, Takarasa's sibling.
  10. I do plan to do one Shitori, but right now I am caught up in the new disaster stuff going on with the villages. I think a lot of people are going to be busy defending there villages for awhile. You may have to wait till it is over.
  11. How would they do that? The whole thing to this is to better deal with high speed taijutsu, to better deal with its effects on vision. I dont see how you would normally do that with reflexes. This does not improve the reflexes trait itself, and still requires you to have good reflexes, it simply lessens the vision effects that high speed taijutsu has on your reflexes. The way I pictured it was that over time training with such high speed ways using the gates, he has learned to notice certain things others cannot, and to better use his vision even when it would normally be thrown off by the visual distortions. So he is sort of using the unrestrained mental faculties gained while the 1st gate is opened, in a different way than normal. Is why the first gate must be open for this to work. Perhaps I did not explain it well enough, but I tried to make it pretty clear what it did.
  12. Honestly, Mishun had not really been thinking when he had made the attack, not considered the fact that if it had been successful, it could possibly prove fatal. The thought never even crossed his mind. Besides the attack being more of a reflex, spurred on by his training, and the intensity of the match, he honestly did not think it would land. He had done it to force his foe to defend himself, knowing that he would. Knowing that any time the other nin spent defending himself, meant less time to attack Mishun. So in his mind, knowing it would be stopped, it did not seem an overly aggressive move for a spar. Clearly his foe was not of the same mind. But if he was later questioned, he would be confused as to what he had done wrong to incite this mans wrath. Mishun could not read lips, as the ninja shouted something, which he could not hear due to his earplugs. But when he suddenly ripped off the headband he had given him to restrain his abilities to a more manageable amount, well it said pretty clearly he was going all out now. The next few moments further proved that. As he moved in with his attack, it was parried, slicing a thin cut across the back of his neck as the piercing blade only managed to pierce the very surface of the mans neck, really nothing to serious. He was surprised he had managed that much, from what he had seen earlier in combat. Suddenly a change came over Axel, as he became darker, his hair and skin taking on a dark gray pallor, purple came in to cover the whiteness of his eyes, and his pupils turned black... And he seemed to be cloaked in a envelop of purple crackling energy. Then this was overlay-ed by a golden glow, along with his hair going gold... Did apparently his hair color changing signify him getting stronger? How odd. All Mishun knew was that he needed to get away. He jumped back, seeing that Axel was descending and preparing to use some taijutsu. Mishun did not even have time to use handseals to properly climb a tree via ninjutsu, instead he bounded in a great leap using his enhanced speed, jumping to a tree, and then bouncing in between two trees, going higher up on each bounce. He got as high as he could in the short time he had before Axel struck the ground, at which time all insanity broke loose. The ground would quake as he was mid jump aiming for a tree, and a ripple of destruction and flame came outward from the blow, like a wave of flaming earth was coming out of it. He was high enough to be clear of the initial flames from the jutsu, but the very trees were uprooted from the ground and flung through the air. Mishun of course had the misfortune of being attacked by the very tree he was aiming for. As it blasted out from its rooting, it swung through the air, smacking into Mishun and knocking him like a ton of bricks, blasting the air from his lungs. Along with that a sharp pain shot through his right arm, as it had taken a good bit of the trees blow. He was not sure if it was sprained, or broken, but it hurt regardless. As he was knocked through the air, he blindly grabbed out with his left arm, managing to snag a branch of a tree and pull himself onto its trunk, one that was still airborne and not attached to the ground at all. He rode it for a moment, as he went into his pouch with his left arm, and took out a pair of kunai and e-tags, arming both kunai with impact fuses. Then he tossed them straight downward at the flaming churned ground, trying to use the blasts to level a spot for him, and to blast away the flames by its force, so he would have a safe spot to land. Once they went off, hopefully having cleared a spot for him to land, he would bail out from his flying tree which was beginning to come down, and try to make it to the spot they had gone off on... Doing his best to avoid any of the other trees that were also falling. He would need to worry about Axel once he made it back to the ground, the shooting pain in his right arm not helping. OOC: [3] Seimon [ Life Gate ] 4/7, 3 rem.

Effect: -While he has the 1st Gate[Kaimon] open(or higher), he is better able to deal with High Speed Taijutsu and register its movements(including his own), and react to it. -Visual distortion effects gained via high speed taijutsu or the gates is reduced(but not stopped altogether). For example blurring might be reduced to nothing, but afterimage might be reduced to blurring, invisibility reduced to afterimage. -The greater someones speed is in comparison to the user's, the less effective this will be, usually capping at there foe being more than a rank in speed greater than the speed of the user, at which time this will have little to no effect.
