Background: Tei was always dedicated to whatever he put his heart to. He was never gifted in a single area, except at being hard working and making it look like he was gifted at everything because of his tenacity and study habits. Born into a normal home and non-shinobi parents, he was expected to go to a civilian university to pursue a normal and commendable job. He was on track to graduating with high honors. People often came to him for help. Except for one girl, his neighbor, who kept bullying him and pestering him. She even gave him the name Noname! Well regardless, he started calling her Jalapeno. Life was normal as one could imagine it to be for Tei, however it was at the age of 13 that his life had changed. It was apparent that Tei was destined for greatness, well, at least destined to become a shinobi. At first, awed by the bravery and the courage of the many nameless soldiers he saw doing tasks that only few would dare undertake, he had begun to study what shinobi did and how to become. This was when he had decided to change his path. He would no longer become an engineer or get a normal and commendable job that his parent’s wanted him to get. He wanted to pursue the path of being a shinobi.
Now, no parent wants their child to be a soldier, and Tei’s parents were no different. They did all they could to stop him from changing his career path. His good grades in school was sure to give great success for him. While his mother feared the worst for Tei, his father decided to allow him to pursue his new dream. This had been the first time Tei had wanted to do something for himself. His father, taking the reins of the relationship, decided to make the decision of letting his son pursue becoming a shinobi.
Tei’s grades allowed him to earn high marks in his application to his new career path. Certain that he was destined for greatness, the now young shinobi would prove to his parents and to the world that there was more than success in materialism in the world, rather there was a much greater satisfaction in helping those in need.
Now, it was time for Tei to set on his journey towards becoming the best. He would work hard to become world-renown.
After becoming a Ninja, his growth was exponential. He was able to tag along on many missions as a student, taking in experience as well as seeing how people work in the battlefield. The experience was invaluable to him, and he continued to work on honing his strategy and skills. The shinobi worked day and night to perfect his strategy, and he continued to work hard. Many would have what people would call "natural talent", but Tei was different. While he had a few aspects that could be considered his natural talent, his note taking and devotion set him apart from everyone. All of those missions, he had gained a lot of effort and possibly some fame, but he decided not to let his past put him in a place where he didn't want to be, instead he wanted to work with a team, and learn how to work with others.
Sample Post: “Tei!!!!” said a woman in a motherly tone. It was clear that she was concerned, unhappy, and worried for her child. His eyes perked up from his book. He had started writing notebooks on becoming a Shinobi and important key points. He was simply reviewing it before the wagon to take him to the center of Yamagakure arrived. He had also stopped packing. He had some fresh ideas that he had to confirm with his old notes. He began writing them as fast as he could, not noticing his mother calling for him. “Tei! ANSWER WHEN I CALL FOR YOU!” a yell came from downstairs. Tei looked up, finally hearing the faint noise that was masked by his thought process. Shaking his head to mentally move away the wall he had built up to the outside world, he looked towards his door and finally asked: “Yeah mom?” He knew this would be her last attempt to keep him from leaving, so he steeled his resolved a bit more, looking at the headband he had already been given.
Tei got up and packed the rest of his clothes and placed the notebook, one of five, into his bag. All five were in his backpack. He stuffed the headband carefully into the front pocket of his backpack and went downstairs to answer his summon. He drudgingly went down, trying to make every step as pronounced as possible, showing his apparent dislike of having to go through this process again. He had already made it to the last step when his mother had slapped him right across the head. His right hand reached towards his forehead and he rubbed it gently, trying to soothe the searing pain that had just taken place. “DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I’LL BE? I’ll never know if you’ll.. ever come back home!” she cried. Tears began streaming down her eyes, but Tei had already made a choice. He wouldn’t back down, regardless. Besides, it was his full intention to never live in this house again. He simply placed his palm on the small of the back of his mother’s and let her cry. He wouldn’t try to stop her, because she was right, it may be the last time she would see him. He wasn’t planning to return, but he did tell them that he would remember them and that he would visit.
