Appearance
Kouji is a boy of a medium complexion. He is tan, but thats only due to the weather of his native Konoki. Going along side his skin is his hair. His hair is a dark brown and always seems to be messy. He rarely puts any effort in making his hair look good, and when he does he usually just puts a little styling gel to spike it up a little. Kouji's got long eyelashes, and his eye color is a very nice hue of blue. Kouji's build is small. He isn't very tall for his age or gender. Not only that but he is also very skinny. Because of his size, he is very nimble and quick.
Attire
Kouji rocks pretty flashy clothing. Starting from his head, he wears a hat a lot. It is not a normal hat though, but a fighter pilot cap. The color of the cap is a tan color and the cap is made out of selvage leather. There are a pair of goggles on the cap, which Kouji will use occasionally. Kouji wears a stripped cardigan. The strips are very bold in width and rotate from a dark green to a faded green-brown. Under the cardigan is a simple white v-neck t-shirt. Over the cardigan he wears a hand-nit sweatshirt, which the color of that is tan also. Kouji wears a pair of A.P.C New Cure jeans. The denim is raw and also selvage (self-edge). On his shoes he wears a pair of sneakers, they are skateboarding sneakers. Finally tipping off his whole outfit is his green scarf. He always wears it and is known for it. The scarf is a special variant of the Konoki X-Mass ball one, and it fire-proof. Also he carries around a unique backpack inspired by his favorite artist. The backpack can be seen here. In Kouji's backpack there are numerous accessories. First he carries 5+ cans of Montana Spray Paint. The colors and numbers of the paint vary. In the many pouches of his pack are paint brushes. They vary in size and in thickness. Mixed in with the brushes are pencils, paint marker, spray paint caps, erasers, and various tools. In one of the main sleeves of that backpack he carries a sketchbook, along with a blackbook. There is also a palette in the same part as the sketchbook. Finally there is a sleeve in the backpack that carries his tubes of acrylic and watercolor paints. Backround
The Ishida's, a long line of artists. Born into the clan seventeen years ago was Kouji, the son of Tai and Kairi Ishida. As a young boy, Kouji showed much devotion to art. He would take crayons and draw on walls, despite the scolding from his parents. The young boys interest in art grew over the year, and he dedicated himself to becoming the greatest artist that Seichi had known. That was quite a task for a young boy. But Kouji had the dedication.
Tai and Kairi, both retired ninja's decided to enroll Kouji into the academy at the age of nine. He wasn't the greatest ninja, nor did he find it easy. Kouji showed no skills at taijutsu, and wasn't good at genjutsu either. His small stature made him an easy target for bullies, and he did not make many friends. He was quiet and shy, and did not talk much. After four difficult years, Kouji graduated. His next move was onto the steps of the genin rank at age thirteen.
Kouji's art advanced as he changed ranks. The most notable thing that happened was the finding of his great grandfathers scrolls. The scrolls contained the Sumi-jutsu techniques. Kouji quickly learned these techniques, arming himself eve further. The boy grew as a ninja also. He was assigned to a team with Zack Sato as his sensei. Sato and Kouji became great friends to the extent that they consider themselves brothers. As a genin, Kouji was involved in a major incident with a member of the Kisho clan. The boy fought fierce against Kouji, going so far as biting the artists nose off. Kouji managed to defeat his opponent, but passed out from exhaustion. The boy also had many battles against Kuro Ryudan, who at that time had been very strong.
From the age of thirteen to fifteen, Kouji was a genin. He graduated to the rank of chuunin at fifteen. He stuck by his mentor Zack, helping him fight against Nagare during war times. Although he grew greatly as a ninja, he needed a break. Kouji enrolled in an art school, which he stayed in for two years. The decision to drop being a ninja and go to school caused mild arguments between the him and his parents. Despite that he continued on his career choice. The school taught him many techniques. During his stay at art school, Ishida was exposed to "street art" and graffiti. By taking the street art and classic painting styles, Kouji merged them to create a style of his own, which he is perfecting to this day. After art school Kouji decided it was time to continue his ranks as a shinobi. Under the guidance of Zack Sato, Kouji strives to complete his dream of being Seichi's greatest artist.
