After teaching her class at the Academy, Hokuto had gotten changed and made her way to Safe Haven. Here, she would go relax at the bar, Jouyouheki. Once she hit Chuunin, it was becoming harder to run the place on her own, so just recently she had finally hired a couple people to watch over the place. She had hired an older man, more of a retired gangster and got his young, beautiful daughter to help him run the place. They weren't one of the greatest bunch, but Hokuto had trusted them. Not only that, she had put hired some construction men to add an upstairs, an area off limits to customers.
Hokuto made her way to Jouyouheki and made a seat at the bar. A few were in today, some siting at the counter, another bunch sitting down at the black leather couches, drinking and having a good time. "Oi, Isao, give me a shot of that American gachou," she told her hired bartender. He had smiled as her had porn her a small glass of American Grey Goose. Hokuto took it and quickly swallowed it down. "So how was your day Miss Amane?" Isao asked. She groaned. "I had a class at the Academy, the little brats ended up fighting each other," she explained.
The old man chuckled as she told him this. "I remember my days as a shinobi, but I am just about too old for it," he said. From the back, Isao's young and beautiful daughter, Yasu, came out to bring out some food for a man at the bar. "Hiyooooh Amane-Sama," she said with a small bow. Hokuto waved her hand for Yasu to knock it off. "I told you to quit calling me that," she told her. Hokuto sighed as Yasu blushed.
But then she grew serious. "I heard of a strong shinobi, who uses poison. I sent him a note asking him to meet me here. I wish to have a word with him," Hokuto explained to Isao. The old man just smiled. "I'm sure he'll cooperate just fine," he said. The young kunoichi sighed. I hope you're right...

Safe Haven was a place where no killings could occur. However, just because there was no killings didn't make it peaceful exactly. Drugs were rampant it seemed, although certain organizations such as the Kitohime corporation led by Naaku Kitohime, seemed to have hidden themselves better from the eye of the public. The general public would may think that organizations like that were just becoming a thing of the past, but Mataru wasn't that ignorant. He knew that there were some organizations that still had connections to the larger and more secretive groups, and the ninja wanted in. The connections and information that these organization could provide were nearly limitless, and although it wasn't exactly his style, Mataru wasn't an idiot. To his surprise though he had received a note from one such group.
Jouyouheki...
Mataru wished he could accomplish his goals by himself. It'd make things far simpler, but he had tried doing it alone for sometime. The note was what pushed him over the edge and made him decide to investigate the opportunity. He pushed open the door of the building, and it was obvious from the outside that it was a bar. There wasn't a lot of people within it, but the decor seemed to show that it was a higher quality place and not some shit hole like the majority of taverns within Safe Haven. He scanned the room, and while looking around he spoke to no one in particular.
"Which one of you is Amane?"

Hokuto sighed. I hope he had such interest. She heard the door open, and then she was called out right on the spot. Turning her head and glared at the guy in the entrance way. Isao shook his head. Yasu looked shocked. Hokuto was not the one to be called out like that. Everyone else in the bar had gotten quiet. "I don't appreciate being called out like that," she said. Isao had pulled out a kunai with his left hand, keeping it hidden behind the bar.
Yasu slowly stepped back and entered back into the kitchen. She headed down into the basement, where Hokuto now stays. Minutes later, the girl would come back with a six inch dagger. But Isao had motioned his daughter to put it away. "He's our guest Yasu," he whispered to her.

The man shrugged and gave a devious smile. He wasn't here to kiss ass, and it wasn't his style to do so either. He figured they would've known what kind of guy he was if they invited him here. But he figured they'd have fun getting to know him.
"If you want to kill me, you're better waiting until I'm asleep. Or drug me. Because if I'm conscious and you try it...Eh, whatever. I'm not here to act like a hard ass. Can I at least get a drink since I've been invited here?" He looked at the girl. She looked young. But she had the air of someone who knew how to handle herself. He walked over to the bar, not really cautious of potential danger. He pulled out a stool and sat down.
"Nice to meet you." He spoke with a bit of a playful town in his voice. No matter how the situation turned out, it was always fun for him when he walked into a room and people pulled out weapons right away.

Isao and Yasu put away their weapons. Each of them bowed politely to show their apologies. Hokuto looked at him as he pulled up a seat. "Not trying to kill you," she told him. She sighed. Not good to talk about business here. Gotta go in the basement for that. Isao reached for a bottle of sake and poured him a cup. "It's our treat," he told the guest.
Hokuto got up and motioned the man to follow her. She would lead him down to the basement, where civilians aren't around. Previously, the basement was small, but she got work done to make it bigger. It has several decent sized rooms down there. One of the rooms were her own bedroom, quite larger than the others. Another was a relaxation room with large sized hookahs and low couches and pillows all around. Then the last two bedrooms were for Isao and Yasu, so they can have their own privacy as well.
She would lead him to the hookah room. Then took a seat and reached for a lighter. There was already tobacco in one of the hookahs, that had two pipes for two people to smoke on at once. "Do you smoke?" she asked.

"Always good to know I'm not trying to be killed then. I guess I just startle people naturally." The tender gave Mataru his drink, and took a swig. It tasted strong of alcohol, but the man figured he liked his brand of ale far better. Even if it tasted like watered down piss. He nodded to the man to acknowledge what he had said and moved his attention to the girl again. She motioned him to follow and so he did, and was led down further into the place.
Smells like smoke.
He though to himself as he made his way down into the basement into the room with the hookah. The girl asked if he smoked and he simply raised his glass to show that he was fine with what he had.
"What is it that you want with me?" He got to the point. He wasn't one to fiddle with small talk, and he wanted to know the girls true intentions. He didn't exactly know what to expect, but he only figured it was an assassination of some sort. Or possibly body guarding. But he figured he'd find out soon enough anyways.

Her guest wanted to get straight to the point. She started to light the coal until it could stay lit on its own. Then she sighed. "Word around is your a Poison user. I run an organization specializing in Poison. You would be a great addition. I offer wealth.. and also a bloodline as most would say," she explained. She thought the bloodline would interest him in the most. What person doesn't want more power or special ability?
He's big, and has a rather large weapon. It seems that I have made the right choice in this rogue. Kind of cute, but not my type. It seems he is more of a Taijutsu user and that seems to work well. Kagami is basically on Ninjutsu anyways as well as me.
"What do ya say?" she asked.

"I'll take your wealth. Keep your damned demon blood though and keep anyone with it away from me unless you want to see that blood spilled." He spoke with a bitter tone. Bloodlines. Just another name for demons. He wanted into the organization, but the fact that she mentioned that made him disgusted. Regardless, he pulled out a card.
"I'll join on a few conditions. I want you to take some of these, and I want every shinobi you encounter to touch these cards. I'm gathering information. By touching these willingly, without being tricked and being told the information, I gather information about the person. And I'd like you to be the first." He offered the card to the woman. Of course he'd join, but wealth was easy to come by. He could take it if he wanted. By force. But information was harder to come by, and was far more valuable than money.
"So, will you take this first card?"

Hokuto laughed when the guy called it a demon bloodline. But she did believe his word. "The bloodline doesn't offer much. It allows immunity to any kind of Poison," she explained at ease. But now he wanted her information. I don't like this. But then again.. I could use his cards when needed. This would work out in both of our favors. She sighed as she took the blank card. Examing it, it was obviously blank.
I'll get Kagami to 'tag' her card, and a couple other people that I have already met. Oh, the Rikuhian ninja, the blind giant. I could get his information. He's a Jounin, so he's more valuable.
"Now could I offer you one of my Poisons? Hatarakite, it makes other Poison last longer. You know, a supporter," she said with a grin.

(OOC: Can we do that with poisons?)

OOC: Let's ask, but I'm sure you can. I mean, you're character is a Chuunin, and you have two Poisons. You could have three :O I mean, we are at least RPing the giving of it.

(OOC: Eh...I have an "enhanced" poison. Or at least I tried to make it powerful enough to be called that. Meaning I only get two. I'll just RP denying it.)
The man gave a kind of condescending grimace at the mention of the bloodline again. He didn't have a need to be immune to poisons. If he was killed, it wouldn't be a loss to anyone.
"Like I said, demon blood. I'm one as well, but I'm still some what human. And I plan to stay that way" She mentioned the poison. It sounded intriguing, but with his poisons, there wasn't really a need for elongating their effects. They served their purposes just as they were. But he nodded to accept it. There was no need to make her think of him as an arrogant person not worthy of trust. Even if his actions were so ironic as to having to lie to appear more truthful, and if his natural reaction to act truthful made him seem untrustworthy. He shrugged the thought; intellectuals never got women anyways. At least the women worth getting. He put out his hand though, motioning that he wanted his card back. Tagged with the information of his accomplice.
"I need that. And I also want to know what I'm going to have to do for you, after getting all of these things offered to me. There must be a catch."

Hokuto accepted his rejection on the bloodline and was okey with his anwers. She then grinned. "No catch. I can be generous to those who are some what similar to me I suppose," she said with a small smile. Heh, he's cute. Definitely strong. He makes a great addition to this organization. Let's just hope he can prove himself of it. I'm sure he will do just fine though. She handed him back his card, forgetting she was holding onto it.
"Anything else I can do for you?" she asked.

The man took back the card. He would read through the information as soon as he left, since there he didn't want to be surprised by any information in front of the girl. He simply pocketed it and stood up getting himself ready to leave. The girl asked him a question, and he began his answer with a laugh.
"Wear something that shows a little more skin next time." He finished his drink and made his way out of the building. His next destination wasn't exactly set out in stone, but he had a few errands that came to mind as he left. None of them were all that exciting. The blood would come later he supposed.

As she asked her question, he replied with a laugh. "Wear something that shows a little more skin next time." She glared at him, and wanted to slap him. But she restrained herself from doing so. How dare he try to degrade me. Then Hokuto sighed. But Mataru had got up and had left. So she got a piece of paper and pen and began to write her next note.
This note would go to a kunoichi of Genin level. She was much like Mataru on a way, a Taijutsu specific. Her name was Divina, Angelyn. She was said to be very strong, along with being a Poison user. Hopefully the young kunoichi would be interested. After she wrote the note, she attached it to Isao's bird to deliver the message. The bird, Isamu, let out and flew out to deliver the note. Alright, let's get this done. So for now, Hokuto would take a nap in her bedroom. She had a long day and now she was tired. I'm sure those brats left by now. Oh well. Hours later, she would wake up and leave.
