[Complementing the Art]
Try to be more descriptive when you are replying to an art thread, actually give an opinion on the piece of work. Tell what exactly you like don’t just leave it as “Cool!” That doesn’t give any opinion about the work at all~ Artists like receiving complements, make sure its something more than… “Wow! Nice!”
[Constructive Criticism]
Do Not offend the artist. They are trying their best and showing their work to you. If you think they can improve things, then tell them in a nice friendly manner. Do not go out of your way to tell them how much their work “sucks” and they should quit. It’s rude, its mean, its against the rules. Rule of thumb: If you have nothing good to say, don’t say anything at all.
[Be Original]
While its awesome to get comments on your artwork, be creative don’t mimic what the person before you said. It is much more rewarding to the artist to read a variety of comments rather than fifteen “Looks awesome. I like the hair!” comments.
